these skytrain for airport are fairly huge and spacious in comparison to regular ones (millennium and expo lines)
Great station. The quickest way to get to the airport if you are downtown or anywhere in Vancouver if you do not have much luggage. The station is between the two terminals with covered walkways to keep you dry but not heated. If you have lots of luggage then a taxi is better.
Great train station - just make sure if you have bags you're alright going up the multiple flights of escalators. The only bummer is the airport surcharge on tickets bought at the airport going into the city. It's a flat $5. That said, it's the best way to get to and from the airport, beats the traffic and the rush and has some nice views while above ground. Definitely one of the best legacy aspects of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games since it was put in for them. Takes you right into the heart of Downtown Vancouver. You can't go wrong!
Provincial kinda place. Bit of a trek from the shuttle to the Air Canada check in. Then a half kilometre back to security. Great for the step count.Security wasn't busy. Just one line and they wanted to do a check on my laptop which seemed to involve opening the cover and closing it again. Ho hum.Quite a few shops and heaps of seating. Euire a pleasant experience.
The posted map showed that the Canada Line fare from YVR to Cambie and 12th was $30.50. Cab fare for the same route was $28. How is that even possible? Given we were lugging bags, the choice was obvious.
