All the usual stuff. Love going there to see how they design rooms and kitchens. Good inspirations and for some reason it is relaxing to walk through and chat. I especially love it when they have their sale on the meatballs. Its not as good as when I was a university student, but its a good memory. Apparently they have all you can eat as well once a year for their anniversary.
Spent a full day designing our kitchen cabinets. Joyce was amazing in helping us figure everything out and was just an all round awesome person! We needed an appliance to get a discount so we chose a dishwasher but they were all out of stock. This cause a problem in finalizing the sale. So after many options discussed with the manager (which was also a great guy to deal with) we got our discount and were very pleased. We purchased our cabinets half an hour before closing and put the order in for the warehouse guys to build. We are from Vancouver island and needed to catch the last ferry sailing. The manager rounded up 6-8 employees and started working like crazy to build the order (the store was closed by now) They worked for an hour past closing time and amazingly had the whole kitchen order ready.We were happy with that and started to wheel our carts to the truck. All of the employees grabbed a cart and followed us downstairs and all 8 of us loaded my truck in a couple minutes saving us valuable time. We would not have made it back to the island without the help of these helpful employees, they went well beyond expectations and even with us being the reason they had to stay an extra hour overtime, they were still really friendly and unbelievably helpful. Great experience and amazing employees!
No trip to Canada would be complete without checking out a IKEA in Canada. Pretty much same stuff as in US only US IKEA family members cant scan their badge. Now I live in the south so the covered parking would be fantastic for winter weather and when it rains. Very cool idea. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit!
Clean store, great breakfast and coffee specials. Ordered online and picked up some furniture. Was straightforward, seamless and without hassle. Was my first time ordering online, and I just had to follow the clear and well placed signs to figure out the process.
Haven't been to an IKEA for 4 years was great to get a fix in - lol! Helpful staff in the create your own wardrobes. Lots of good summer items on sale and some cool things in clearance. Would have shopped longer but had a ferry to catch. Love the sheets we purchased.
