I won a $50 gift certificate to the Flying Beaver late last year. It's a bit out of my way, but I finally decided to put it to use tonight and pay them a visit. The food was very delicious! I got the blackened chicken and my girlfriend got the macaroni and cheese. We both really enjoyed our meals! Our waitress was also very attentive. She checked in with us multiple times to update us on the status of our food before it was served, and then afterwards to make sure we were enjoying everything. She provided excellent service!There's also a beautiful view of the water to enjoy while you dine. We didn't get to see any sea planes arrive or take off, but I'd imagine that would be fun to watch, if you happen time your visit appropriately.Overall, it was a great experience!
Quite popular restaurant. Nice views of the water and seaplanes. Classy interior. Okay service.The breakfast food was maybe slightly above average, nothing that stood out or made an impression
This is such a great spot. Scenic like you would not believe, and fits the bill for either an excellent date night, a cool place to hang out with friends, or an impressive place to bring the 'rents. Always get a warm, welcoming reception, and the food is well executed, homey, and delicious. Brunch is fantastic!!! Short rib anything for breakfast... Ugh. Yes please. My mouth just started watering. I've had a few misses in terms of service, in the past, but never anything so dire that I haven't kept going back. It's a must-eat-here kind of place, feels like a local's secret.
Love Love Love this restaurant!! Service is terrific. Food is so tasty and well presented! The Red Truck lager is delicious and cold!! We are never disappointed and always thrilled to get a parking spot out front! Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious seafood! Fish Tacos, sesame seed crusted ahi tuna and always a hit...fish & chips!
I've been going to the beaver for years now and have enjoyed the food and ambience every time. Last time I was there they helped me with my proposal to my girlfriend, they even threw in a little champagne to top it off for the special moment. I wanted to thank the staff for helping me make the moment memorable. Thank you! (However, to the management I have some constructive criticism: please, do list the fine print rules of your food specials on the menu. We had to end up ordering drinks (both of us) to get the wings. Even though I offered to buy two drinks for myself we were advised each 'individual' has to order a drink of some kind. Seeing this on the menu would help guests avoid awkward moments with the wait staff.)
